New WTS Board Member Announced.
WTS Chairman Graham Ormondroyd is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Bronia Stefanowski to the WTS Board.
Bronia is a member of the Biocomposites Centre of Bangor University. She has worked with bio-based composite materials, ranging from straw to wood to waste materials, such as coffee and pineapple. She has worked as part of a global investigation aiming to address the issue of health problems associated with modern low carbon buildings, especially the investigation of the valorisation of bio-wastes in wood-based panels, to act as scavengers for indoor air pollutants. From this study, work has been presented internationally, published in leading journals and she has contributed chapters to scientific textbooks.
Since 2018, Bronia has also been employed as a wood and wood modification specialist on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Biocomposites Centre and Lignia Wood Company Ltd - a wood modification company.
