Several ECCC members have participated in the European-funded Nibalo725 project described below. An online workshop is scheduled for the day following ECCC2021 at which the main results will be disseminated.  If interested, please register separately for that event

Ni-Based Alloys for Operation of 725º Power Plants (NIBALO725)

RFCR-CT-2016-709976

Final Workshop - Thursday October 21, 08:30-11:00 BST

NIBALO725 is an RFCS project started at the end of 2016 and successfully completed at the beginning of 2021.   The aim of the project is to investigate behaviour of improved materials for the application in highly efficient and highly flexible future power plants with steam temperatures up to 725ºC.   It covered the analysis of connections of Ni-based alloys to conventional ferritic/bainitic and martensitic materials in the boiler transition area.   It also investigated membrane panels and thick-walled connection area involving alloy 740H
