Swansea

**Postponed**

Our first SWMA talk of the term will be on Novel applications of nanofibers in wound dressings by Chris Mortimer from Hybrisan.

Hybrisan are a biotechnology company based in Port Talbot, South Wales. They specialise in antimicrobial technologies with their novel composite biocide.
Alongside their highly effective biocide Hybrisan have developed an advanced antimicrobial nanofibrous nonwoven using a highly scalable electrospinning technique. With a high antimicrobial efficacy and antifouling capability due to its small fibre diameter, their nonwoven has applications in a number of areas across healthcare, aviation and industry.
Hybrisan will discuss their background, current ongoing projects and explain how they intend to move their material forward and exploit the gap in the wound dressing market.

This talk is open to everyone and there will be free food and drink!
