Oil & Gas UK has released several documents which aim to help the industry prepare for forthcoming decommissioning projects and increase the efficiency of processes involved. The publications were launched in St Andrews in Scotland at the annual Offshore Decommissioning Conference.

Paul Dymond, Oil & Gas UK’s operations director and co-chairman of the Offshore Decommissioning Conference, said: “While investment in new oil and gas projects on the UK continental shelf is soaring, decommissioning is becoming an increasingly significant activity for operations. Oil & Gas UK aims to share the experience gained and lessons learnt so far and to help ensure that future projects are enabled by a supply chain ‘at the ready’.”
