Northern Energy Transitions Conference

Add to cal

Online

NEIMME is pleased to announce this free joint conference with the Durham Energy Institute held virtually over two-days on Thursday and Friday 15th-16th April 2021. Please do feel free to distribute this email to any who may be interested in attending.

Full event details: mininginstitute.org.uk/northern-energy-transitions-conference-2021/" target="_blank">https://mininginstitute.org.uk/northern-energy-transitions-conference-2021/

This conference will cover geological, materials and policy aspects of a possible energy transition in our region, and will feature a speech by Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP (Minister of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) and a final panel on clean energy and manufacturing solutions as a possible future direction for Northern industry. Attendees will be able to submit questions for the speakers online during the conference, with 30 minutes available for questions at the end of each panel session.

This event is aimed at showing members of the public, policy makers and an industrial and academic audience what is on offer, what can be done and what is being done across our region. All are welcome regardless of previous knowledge of this topic, and attendees are welcome to drop in and out of the conference sessions as they see fit.

Attendees must sign up for each day individually using the eventbrite links below. The zoom link for each day will then be sent to you via eventbrite.
