“The effects of batch carryover on the performance of regenerator refractories”

2019 heralds the 150th anniversary of the founding of the earliest predecessor of IOM3, The Iron and Steel Institute, and also 150 years since the birth of the renowned ceramicist Joseph William Mellor FRS (1869-1938).

The 2019 Mellor Memorial Lecture, hosted by the Society of Glass Technology, will take place at 16.15 on Wednesday 5 June at Lucideon, Stoke-on-Trent, on 5 June.

All are welcome to attend the lecture.

  • The event marks the culmination of Society of Glass Technology’s Training day (5 June) ahead of the Furnace Solutions 14 event (6 June)
  • Timing - 16.15-17.00 with time for Q&A after
  • The Mellor Memorial Lecture is free to attend

The 2019 Lecture ‘The effects of batch carryover on the performance of regenerator refractories’ will be delivered by Trevor Wilson of DSF Refractories and will provide a look at batch attack on the refractories used in the glass industry, particularly through batch carryover in the regenerators.
