Timber 2020 Online
Timber 2020 goes online!
The Wood Technology Society are pleased to announce that Timber 2020 will now be delivered as a virtual conference. This is due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak and restrictions on travel and the need for social distancing. The date of the event, 9th-10th September remains the same.
The move to a virtual event presents some new opportunities for the way that the conference will be structured, and we are sure we can maintain full participation by delegates, with a range of styles of discussion, networking and social activity sessions. We have access to a great platform for this virtual event through the IOM3 conferencing facilities. We look forward to gathering for the presentations, discussions, Q&A sessions, and networking sessions.
We have received an excellent selection of high quality abstracts, and our full programme of talks and presentations will be announced very soon, so do check back to this website for more information. Conference delegates will be provided with visual and written resources before the event, allowing them to view some content ahead of time and thus get maximum benefit from participation in the interactive features of the online event on the day.
This conference will span all topics related to timber – from the largest structures to the smallest models of the influence of ultrastructure on performance. Topics will range from preservation to panel products; modified wood to engineered lumber. Join us as our speakers showcase the latest developments in timber technologies and research in the UK.
