Starpack Awards ceremony 2014
On the 30 September 2014, Britvic were crowned Best in Show at the 2014 Starpack Awards ceremony for the Robinsons Squash'd entry, a super-concentrated dilutable fruit squash available in 20 different flavours.
From 200 entries, the judges whittled down the Best in Show shortlist to three. The runners up were Design Bridge’s ‘Smirnoff White’ for Diageo, and the ‘Lynx/ Axe Icon 2’ design by Seymourpowell.
Regular judge Tim Lynch, Global Brands Assurance Packaging Design and Print Manager at Britvic, spoke about winning. He said, ‘I can’t wait to get in front of the Robinsons Brand Director to tell her, the design agency, the printer and the artwork studio. Everybody worked so hard to get the product developed and out in time for the launch date and, now, with this Starpack Best in Show Award, we have peer-recognition of that innovation and effort’.
The 140-strong crowd was treated to a talk by Sanjay Patel, Global Sparkling Innovation Ignitor at Coca Cola who presented an inspiring timeline of his career, followed by a champagne and networking reception.
The Starpack Awards celebrate 56 years of success in 2014 and continue to recognise excellence in packaging design.
