Society for Adhesion and Adhesives
Seminar on 7 April 2011 at the Society of Chemical Industry, 15 Belgrave Square, London

Adhesives are highly versatile materials that can be used in a wide range of industrial applications involving extreme service environments. Applications range from marine and oil/gas, deep space, large engineering infrastructures, human dentistry and bone repair and implants, withstanding assault from cryogenic and elevated temperatures, fire, natural weathering and chemical attack. This one-day seminar focuses on the issues and challenges posed by the above-mentioned service conditions to manufacturers, engineers and designers, and demonstrates that adhesives offer unique and long-term solutions to difficult problems. The seminar brings together industrial and academic experts from a wide range of backgrounds within the adhesive and sealant technology communities covering applications relating to aerospace/defence, biomedical (bone and dental), oil/gas and marine transportation.
