Tata Steel / Port Talbot Transition Board releases funds
The Secretary of State for Wales sought endorsement for three regeneration projects.
The projects, which will be supported with over £21.2mln of Transition Board funding, include creation of an Advanced Manufacturing Production Facility/National Net Zero Centre of Excellence and redevelopment of business premises at the Metal Box and Sandfields Business Centre.
This release of money is the sixth announcement from the UK Government’s £80mln Tata Steel / Port Talbot Transition Board fund, and should support over 270 jobs and add over £119mln to the local economy over the next decade.
