Entries invited for the 2021 IOM3 Awards & Prizes

Nominations are invited for the 2021 IOM3 Awards & Prizes with a closing date of 31 January 2021 at 17:00 GMT.

IOM3 presents a range of Awards, Medals and Prizes to recognise personal achievement, published work and contributions to the profession.

The awards are in various categories, for individuals at different career stages, organisations, IOM3 Members and non-members. The annual awards are presented at special occasions throughout the year, and some of our award winners deliver lectures to which all members are invited. Award nominations for the bulk of our awards open for entry in the autumn, with a deadline of the end of January and the winners are normally announced in April.

IOM3 President Professor Serena Best CBE FREng CEng FIMMM says, ‘I would like to encourage everyone to get involved in the process. These awards are an important way of recognising major contributions made by people at a variety of career stages across the whole range of IOM3 activities. The awards also highlight to the world, the importance of materials, minerals and mining, which underpin a huge range of aspects of everyday life.’

Awards range from anything for outstanding services to steel industry and biomedical materials to international minerals and an early career member demonstrating excellence in professional development.
