CPD Webinar - Introduction to Renewable Energy Technologies

Add to cal

Online Via Zoom

Renewable energy is on the up. In the second quarter of 2024 in the UK, renewable energy accounted for a record high of 51.6% of electricity generation. With the UK government aiming to decarbonize its energy system by 2035 and reach net zero by 2050, this figure is only set to increase over the next two decades. This webinar delves into renewable energy sources and technologies crucial for achieving net zero emissions. It will cover areas such as solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal and bioenergy, as well as the latest trends and emerging technologies being explored in this sector.

Speaker Bio Dr Nathan Cooze CEng CSci MIMMM FHEA has taught in Higher Education for over 12 years. He is currently an Industrial Lecturer at Swansea University delivering work-based learning, helping to contribute to the UK’s Net Zero aspirations by addressing green skills gaps in the private and public sectors particularly around manufacturing-related industries.
