Technical Meeting: Construction and Maintenance Considerations of Underground Assets for Hydro Power Generation in Scotland

Add to cal

BAM, Glasgow Road, Kilsyth G65 9BL and Wardell Armstrong, Great Michael House, Links Place, Edinburgh EH6 7EZ.

We are on the cusp of a potential revolution in underground construction for sustainable power generation. The mission being to achieve our net zero promise, provide energy stability and create a positive legacy for future generations. The speaker will ask us if we are ready to deliver this vision. He will present a few case studies, from his perspective, applying the lessons learned from the past revolution, which perhaps came to a close in the early 1980s, and discuss some of the in-use challenges that have arisen. In addition, he will connect the journey to the mission asking us to deliver with net zero in mind, create a positive legacy as we go, and link what we do today to a sustainable future applying the five steps to wellbeing.
