Scope and Background
This conference aims to consider the challenges and opportunities for the optimum use of lightweight materials in engineering structures. The problems will be looked at from both a materials and applications perspective. Environmental issues will also be addressed.
The programme will feature a full afternoon of Invited Speakers, plus an opportunity for networking and a further look at sponsors and other exhibits. A wide number of solutions to problems encountered in high technology industries will be presented, and there will, no doubt, be different solutions to similar problems in different industries.
The venue for this conference is the prestigious National Space Centre in Leicester (LE4 5NS). It is easily accessible by car, and there is extensive free car parking (by permit). It is also a short bus or taxi ride from the mainline railway station in Leicester. Further details of the venue are available on www.spacecentre.co.uk.
Registration will commence at 10.00 and a finger buffet lunch will be available from 12:00, served in the Booster Room, Early registrants will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition areas of the Space Centre at no extra charge. Lunch and afternoon refreshments are included in the registration fee.
