Schools Starpack 2017

The briefs for the Schools Starpack awards for 2017 have been announced.

The judging of the Schools Starpack awards is going to take place in two stages in 2017 - please visit the Schools Starpack registration website for full details of the briefs, conditions of entry and the judging procedure. The timetable for 2017 is shown on the right of this page.

2017 Briefs

The Schools Starpack award briefs are provided by industry experts, from manufacturers to household brands, and provide excellent opportunities for Years 10, 11 and AS level. Entry is for an individual student’s work.

  • 'Stay Safe' Green Cross Code packaging for children

Sponsored by BPI Polythene Industries
Using the 'Green Cross Code' and road safety initiatives and guidelines, design a 'road safety pack' that can be distributed through local communities and education centres to inform young children of the dangers and what to do to keep safe.

  • 'Easy Pickings' creative fruit and vegetable packaging

Sponsored by Graphic Packaging International
Design and develop a new form of cartonboard packaging for fruit and vegetables that is effective in not only protection but helps preserve and promote healthy eating.

  • Sport activity bottle

Create a reusable bottle that can be used on the go whilst maintaining the quality and requirements of the liquid inside.

  • Space meal in a can

Develop a new two-course meal, which can be served from a tin or can container, for astronauts on the ISS.

Develop a solution to address the problems of treating asthma with children who are under 6 years old
