Welcome to IMMa - International Mining & Minerals Association

Welcome to the IMMa website. IMMa is the International Mining & Minerals Association and it is part of IOM3. IMMa has four technical divisions: Applied Earth Science (AES), Mineral Processing & Extractive Metallurgy (MPEM), Mining Technology (MT) and Petroleum & Drilling Engineering (PDE); and it encompasses all the interests that resided in the former Institution of Mining and Metallurgy (IMM), which merged with the Institute of Materials in 2002 to form IOM3.

IMMa’s purpose is to serve the members of IOM3 with interests in the minerals industries and to provide a focus both internally within the Institute and externally for the world wide community of minerals professionals. The function of this website is to introduce IMMa and to explain its activities. We hope you find this useful and welcome any constructive comments. Read our mission statement
