Three IOM3 Fellows made new Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering

IOM3 is pleased to see three of its Fellows recognised as New Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) in recognition of their outstanding and continuing contributions to the profession.

Congratulations to the following IOM3 Fellows:

  • Professor James Busfield FREng CEng FIMMM, Professor of Materials and Director of Industrial Engagement, Queen Mary University of London
  • Professor Peter Lee FREng CEng CSci FIMMM, Professor of Materials Science, University College London
  • Professor Stuart Lyon FREng CEng FIMMM, AkzoNobel Chair in Corrosion Control, University of Manchester

All the new Fellows were announced at the RAEng AGM on 22 September 2020. Sir Jim McDonald FREng FRSE, President of the Royal Academy of Engineering, says, ‘The new Fellows who join us today are among the most talented and successful engineers working in the field today, leaders in areas from transport and our essential data infrastructure to lifesaving developments in medical research. We look forward to working with them and benefiting from their ideas and insight as we strive to inform public debate and provide workable solutions to our shared national and global challenges.’
