Find the right professional registration route for you

Explore IOM3 workshops designed to help you identify the right route to professional registration and take the next step in your career.

Our EngTech and RSciTech workshop is designed for career technicians from industry or academia, apprentices and graduates with 12-18 months' experience. Whatever your background, Technician registration provides peer assessment of your competence and is well recognised across industry.

For those with a relevant Level 6 qualification and 3 years’ experience, the IEng, RSci or REnvP qualification can act as a standalone qualification or be used progressively on the route to Chartership, particularly when used in conjunction with our recognised Technical Case Study Route to CEng. If this applies to you, attend one of our IEng, RSci and REnvP workshops.

Many are aware of the established Technical Report Routes to Incorporated or Chartered Engineer for those who do not hold an underpinning academic engineering qualification. Did you know that we have an equivalent route for those looking to pursue CEnv or CSci qualification? If this applies to you, why not come along to our EQR (equivalence) workshop where our experienced staff will explain the application process in simple steps.

Since its introduction in 2023, nearly 130 IOM3 members have gone on to pursue Qualified for Minerals Reporting (QMR) registration. For those holding the MIMMM or FIMMM grade, this provides the gateway for those wishing to carry out the Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person in accordance with the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards (CRIRSCO) codes. If you are working towards QP/CP under mentorship, this could be for you. To find out more, attend our QMR workshop.
