Registrations open for EEC 2021

The programme and registration for the 12th European Electric Steelmaking Conference (EEC 2021) taking place on 13–15 September 2021 is now live.

The key aim of this event is to provide a forum at which steelmakers, product specialists, and all other parts of the steel sector supply chain can come together to share information and exchange knowledge on current and future developments across the broad spectrum of electric arc furnace steelmaking and its associated technologies.

Bob Ruddlestone, Chair of the Organising Committee, said, ‘The organising committee have put together an outstanding conference programme. As well as quality technical presentations there is an opportunity to attend a workshop on attaining net-zero and a session devoted to developments in the global steel industry with presentations from industry experts. This is one not to miss.’

The conference programme is constructed on 5 principal technology-based themes:

  • Process
  • Environment & Society
  • Plant
  • Energy
  • Industry 4.0

EEC 2021 will be delivered as a blended event. We look forward to welcoming our delegates to Sheffield, and understanding that some may face travel restrictions, we will at the same time provide a fully interactive, virtual conference experience, with emphasis on delivering exceptional engagement, networking and knowledge exchange between our on-site and remote participants.
