‘Largest’ dedicated carbon capture research facilities launched in India

Carbon Clean’s Global Innovation Centre (GIC) will be based in Navi Mumbai.

The GIC will reportedly be one of the world’s largest, dedicated, carbon capture research facilities, according to Carbon Clean.

Carbon Clean says the investment cements deepens ties between the UK and India in clean technology.

The centre spans 77,121 square feet and houses two carbon capture plants, alongside laboratories for solvent development, analysis, and testing.

The company claims it will serve as a hub for research, innovation and technology demonstration.

It will reportedly house the latest technologies and an expert workforce of over 100 people, with capacity to expand to 350 employees.

The facility will seek to scale up the deployment of CycloneCC, the company’s modular carbon capture technology.
