Polestar to reduce GHG to zero by 2030

The Swedish electric vehicle maker and partners will target all aspects of production without offsetting.

Polestar 0 Project will incorporate 12 new industry partners to work across all aspects of production.

Swedish based steel manufacturer Ovako will explore how engineering steel can improve both the performance and the energy efficiency of key components.

Ovako has been prooducing 100% carbon neutral steel since the beginning of this year. This includes all steel products containing more than 97% of recycled steel.

The project will also include STILRIDE, the Swedish startup that uses its 'industrial origami' systems to fold steel for its  electric scooters.

Their manufacturing techniques will be seen as an alternative to welding to construct the chassis using minimal materials.
