David Seath CEng FIMMM, 14 November 1946 – 24 September 2023

IOM3 is deeply saddened by the news of the death of David Seath, Trustee and supporter of the Institute.

Our thoughts and sympathies are with David’s family at this difficult time. David was a well respected member and Honorary Secretary of the Mining Institute of Scotland, an Affiliated Society within IOM3 for the advancement of all perspectives of minerals and mining.

As well as having a long and distinguised career David was deeply committed to mining education and a champion of IOM3. Within the Institute David was a member of the Executive Board, Audit Committee and Mining Technology Leadership Group. A full obituary detailing David’s career and history within IOM3 will appear online in the coming weeks.
