Collaboration to deliver low-carbon adhesives

Henkel and Sasol are combining forces to reduce the environmental impact of Henkel's hot-melt adhesives.

 Sasol uses Fischer-Tropsch technology, and its SASOLWAX LC product range will be integrated into Henkel’s TECHNOMELT portfolio for the European, Indian, Middle Eastern and African markets.

SASOLWAX LC100 reportedly delivers a 35% reduction in product carbon footprint (PCF) cradle-to-gate, compared to proven baseline formulas without compromising performance, according to Henkel.

The partnership reflects both companies' alignment with the Science Based Target initiative.

The PCF methodology applied to the entire SASOLWAX value chain is developed and independently reviewed to comply with ISO 14040, 14044, and 14067 standards.
