Application submitted for Humber rare earth site

Pensana Rare Earths has submitted the planning application for its rare earth oxide separation facility in the Humber, Yorkshire, UK.

The project is an integral part of the company’s plans to build the world’s first fully sustainable mine to magnet metal supply chain to feed the growing demand for powerful permanent magnets, including EVs and offshore wind turbines.

Expected to take about three months to review, the application covers a facility being designed by Wood Group at the Saltend Chemicals Park.
