Laser Scanning Technology
Add to calWilliam Smith Building, Keele University and via zoom
We are pleased to announce our final technical event of 2022. The lecture, on 05 December, will be delivered by Mark Hudson from Geoterra Ltd, and will consider 'Laser Scanning Technology and its uses'.
Following on from one of our 'little IT disasters', caused by a broken internet connection when Mark was presenting back in March, he has kindly agreed to try again in person!
After leaving the coal mining industry as a surveyor, Mark embarked on a highly varied and interesting careerm being heavily involved in both shaft and ground investigation work involving the latest laser scanning and computer technologies using GPS, Satellite and Laser techniques for a number of years. Mark has collaborated with major clients such as the Coal Authority, Network Rail and Wardell Armstrong to name but a few. In his own style, Mark will highlight some of the projects that his company has been involved with and the latest instrumentation used in Geoterra's specialist line of work.
This lecture will take place in the William Smith Building on Keele University's Keele Campus; it will start at 1900 and a light buffet supper will be served afterwards to which everyone is welcome.
The lecture will also be available to join via Zoom.
