The first of our 170/150 anniversary celebration events on 23rd June, 6:30 for 7:00 pm at Seaham Town Hall, a lecture at which Stuart Porthouse will tell us of the very beginnings of the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers,of who was in attendance, and why this momentous, though tragic moment brought into being this wonderful Institute.
