Introduction to Project Finance for Renewable Energy Projects – Part 1
The South Wales Materials Association (SWMA) is pleased to announce their CPD Webinar. Introduction to Project Finance for Renewable Energy Projects – Part 1
The transition to a sustainable energy future hinges not only on technological innovation or the will to act but it depends just as critically on sound financial planning. No matter how promising the technology, how urgent the need, or how ambitious the vision, a renewable energy project must ultimately make financial sense to move forward. This part 1 webinar introduces our course which equips you with the financial tools and frameworks essential for evaluating, structuring, and executing successful renewable energy projects. From risk allocation to funding models, we’ll explore how to turn good ideas into bankable, investable realities. In part 2 we will look at real life spreadsheet examples. Speaker Bio: Dr. Michael Shakib is an Industrial Lecturer at Swansea University, where he designs and delivers courses on the circular economy, renewable energy, and project finance. His work focuses on supporting the development of green skills and aligning education with industry needs in the transition to a more sustainable economy.
