Elastomers ATDM: Tyre Wear & the Environment
Tyre wear and the Environment.
Our final event of 2026 is an Afternoon Technical Discussion Meeting run jointly with the TyPE Network (An Interdisciplinary Solution to Tyre Emissions), led by Loughborough University. It will be held on Friday 11 December 2026 at IOM3 HQ, 297 Euston Road, London NW1 3AD, and online.
The event will consider different aspects of tyre wear, from creation through to health impacts, and how these can best be recreated within a laboratory environment. Attendees will learn about the different disciplines involved in generating and using representative tyre emissions material, from the materials science of tyre wear creation through to how nanoparticles are used in laboratories to understand health impacts.
The meeting is free to attend thanks to the generous support of the TyPE Network and the IOM3 Elastomer Group technical programme sponsors: Avon Protection, ACE Laboratories, Zeon and Rubber Heart. In-person delegates are welcome to join us for a networking lunch and our customary Christmas drinks reception.
