Structural Integrity of Offshore Renewable Structures

Feargal Brennan is a professor of offshore engineering at the University of Strathclyde and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. He is also the research director of the Wind & Marine Systems and Structures (WAMSS) Centre for Doctoral Training.

This talk will provide an overview of offshore wind in Europe, primary structural integrity considerations for offshore wind, information on the Structural Lifetime Industry Collaboration (SLIC) and future trends, challenges and opportunities.

“Feargal Brennan's plenary talk at ESIA18–ISSI2026 was highly informative, particularly the comparison between jacket structures and monopiles in terms of structural efficiency, the design drivers for offshore structures and innovations and research programmes leading to increased fatigue lifetimes and promoting sustainability.” Patricia Liddicott FIMMM

The virtual lecture will take place via MS Teams.  To book your place and receive the joining link please contact the organising team.
