A mining exhibition by Tom Lamb has gone on display at the National Coal Mining Museum in West Yorkshire, UK. The artwork records over 20 years of mining history, from Lamb’s memories of 1946-69.

Lamb began working at Craghead Colliery in Durham, UK, when he was 14 years old. His artwork takes an intimate look at his fellow miners and the conditions in which they worked. The My Mining Days special exhibition runs until 11 January 2009. Admission into the museum is free, and includes an underground tour.
