UK BEIS Department split into three

The Prime Minister has split the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy into three.

A new Department for Energy Security and Net Zero has been tasked with ensuring the government stays on track for its long-term energy supply goals, with the aim of obtaining more energy from domestic nuclear and renewable sources.

A Department for Science, Innovation and Technology has been tasked with creating more jobs and improving public services, in turn aiding the recovery of the UK economy.

A combined Department for Business and Trade seeks to support British businesses at home and abroad with the overall goal of promoting investment.
