New report on widening skills gap in UK critical minerals
This follows a workshop to explore the skills development landscape in the midstream and recycling industries.
With support from IOM3, the UK Department for Business and Trade, Imperial College London and Innovate UK, the Critical Minerals Association (UK) invited over 40 representatives from across the UK critical minerals value chain - including midstream players, recyclers, academics and professional/support services.
Participants shared approaches and initiatives to address the talent recruitment and retention challenges the sector is facing.
The workshop report builds upon the 2022 report by IOM3 on the Talent Gap - Critical Skills for Critical Minerals, which provided an initial qualitative assessment of the UK's skills landscape.
