IOM3 Fellow Margaret Bates FIMMM receives Lifetime Achievement Award
Packaging industry pioneer recognised for lifetime contribution to circular economy.
We're pleased to share that IOM3 Fellow Margaret Bates FIMMM has received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the London Packaging Week Innovation Awards 2026, recognising more than three decades of contribution to recycling, resource management and environmental policy.
The award was presented during London Packaging Week at ExCeL London and celebrated Margaret's longstanding impact on the packaging sector, including her work advancing recycling, sustainability and circular economy practices.
Commenting on the award, Margaret described packaging as a sector that is vital to the UK's economy, public health, resilience and waste reduction, and said she hopes to continue contributing to the industry's future development.
