IOM3 celebrates first International Day of Ceramics

Organised by the International Ceramic Federation, International Day of Ceramics is being celebrated on 12 March.

From traditional clay-based materials used for thousands of years to advanced ceramics in smartphones, aerospace components and medical implants, ceramic materials underpin countless aspects of our daily lives.

The day aims to raise awareness among young people and inspire the next generation of ceramic scientists and engineers.

IOM3 Technical Communities

IOM3 Ceramics Group has long championed research, innovation and professional development in this field. From electroceramics in electronics to bioceramics in healthcare, ceramic materials are shaping the future of green technologies and sustainable manufacturing.
