Engineering job applicants decline
Engineering job application numbers have sharply declined, according to research from the Association of Professional Staffing Companies - the trade association for professional recruitment.

Application numbers fell 36% month-to-month in July, the largest drop seen in two years, according to the data provided by the jobs board network Broadbean Technology.
As firms struggle to fill available roles, APSCo's research shows that vacancies also dropped in July. Advertised roles in 2023 are apparently up on 2022, suggesting this reduction is indicative of challenges employers face filling demand.
