Position:
We currently have a vacancy for a Metallurgist to conduct failure analysis, life assessment, Fitness for Service, and other technical tasks related to power and process plants. On-site work and occasional overseas travel may be required. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as on-job supervision and training can be provided. We are open to considering both experienced candidates and recent graduates.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Perform life assessment and Fitness for Service evaluations on components in power and process plants.
- Specialize in Creep, Fatigue, Corrosion, Crack, and Life Assessment methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure plant integrity and reliability.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in metallurgy.
- Provide technical support and expertise in power and process plant integrity.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports documenting findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Creep, Fatigue, Corrosion, and Life Assessment principles.
- Knowledge of plant inspection techniques is desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and supervision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel on-site and internationally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in metallurgy, failure analysis, or related fields.
- Established track record in Power and/or Process Plant Integrity/Life Assessment.
- Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
