Position:

We currently have a vacancy for a Metallurgist to conduct failure analysis, life assessment, Fitness for Service, and other technical tasks related to power and process plants. On-site work and occasional overseas travel may be required. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as on-job supervision and training can be provided. We are open to considering both experienced candidates and recent graduates.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform life assessment and Fitness for Service evaluations on components in power and process plants.
  • Specialize in Creep, Fatigue, Corrosion, Crack, and Life Assessment methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure plant integrity and reliability.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in metallurgy.
  • Provide technical support and expertise in power and process plant integrity.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports documenting findings and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Creep, Fatigue, Corrosion, and Life Assessment principles.
  • Knowledge of plant inspection techniques is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel on-site and internationally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in metallurgy, failure analysis, or related fields.
  • Established track record in Power and/or Process Plant Integrity/Life Assessment.
  • Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
