The next course will take place on Monday 30 June 2025.

We are delighted to be working with experts from Transmin Metallurgical Consultants to offer this special, half-day short course.

This workshop provides a practical introduction to the fundamental concepts and techniques for selecting representative samples in geometallurgical programs. Utilizing the Cancha software as a support tool, participants will learn to manage the entire sample selection process. The content is specifically designed to address the current needs of modern mining, applicable to projects and operations of any scale. Topics include the identification of critical geological features and the implementation of advanced sampling methodologies. Through practical examples and interactive exercises, participants will be able to directly apply what they have learned to their projects, improving accuracy and efficiency in their processes. This workshop is ideal for those seeking to update their skills with the latest techniques in geometallurgy and optimize their sampling processes using cutting-edge technology. All participants will receive temporary one-month licenses for the Cancha software, facilitating the practical application of the acquired knowledge.

The short course runs a day before the IOM3 ‘Geometallurgy 2025’ conference and has been designed to be accessible to all, requiring no prior knowledge.
