Pack to the Future 2025

The Midlands Packaging Society are pleased to announce the date for the 13th Pack to the Future conference on 23 July 2025.  This one-day conference will focus on the theme of 'Artificial Intelligence and its impact on the Packaging Supply Chain' and will allow delegates to hear from and network with thought leaders from across the spectrum of materials, supply chain, from  design, commercial, production, environmental and behavioural perspectives.  The programme will include presentations from:

  • Stefan Casey, io.tt-  Embracing the Future or Facing Extinction - AI and connected packaging - are you ready?
  • Camilla Young, GS1  -  The end of the line is coming – are you ready for the next generation of barcodes?
  • Anthony Hornsby, Sherbourne Recycling -  How a best-in-class MRF is utilising AI and waste technology to transform how residential recycling is processed.
  • Brian Lodge, British Plastics Federation -  The future of plastic packaging.
  • Bhavnita Patel, The Manufacturing Technology Centre -  AI in Manufacturing.
  • Professor Georgina Cosma and Dr Nikki Clarke, Loughborough University  -AI: The Future – Research and Innovation at Loughborough University.
  • and a keynote presentation by Tim Barbary, Benchmark Consulting - The Role of Artifical Intelligence in Transforming Packaging.

The event will take place in the School of Design and Creative Arts and Loughborough University on Wednesday 23 July.
