Geometallurgy 2025 - derisking projects and adding value to operations
This is the fifth conference in a series which started in 2014 to showcase the latest developments and trends in geometallurgy, to provide great opportunities for networking, and to foster enduring friendship.
The conference welcomes presentations on all aspects of application of geometallurgy and its development across the mining value chain. Overarching themes include:
- Sampling and characterisation for geometallurgy
- Geometallurgical domaining
- Early geometallurgy
- Geometallurgical mine planning
- Artificial intelligence in geometallurgy
- Sustainable development
- Case studies

This course introduces the concepts and principles of Geometallurgy and how they may be deployed to maximise the value from mineral deposits. It will explore best practices in designing geometallurgical programs, data collection and analysis, as well as modelling and integration into mine design and scheduling, and process plant flowsheet design. The course will include Case Studies from both exploration and operating projects.
The short course runs a day before the conference and is intended to provide a more practical overview on applications of Geometallurgy and is suitable for anyone with an interest in this field. Conference delegates can book to attend this course as an add-on to the conference registration and benefit from a 50% reduction in fees.
