Notice of IOM3 Annual General Meeting 2025

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with the Bye-laws, the Annual General Meeting of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining will be held at 12.00pm on 4 September 2025 at 297 Euston Road, London, NW1 3AD and online.

The agenda is as follows:

  1. Welcome and introduction by the President.
  2. Approval of the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 10 September 2024.
  3. Receipt and consideration of the IOM3 Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2024. A presentation about progress in 2024 and future plans, followed by a question and answer session on matters arising from the presentation, and any other areas of IOM3. Members are encouraged to submit their questions in writing to [email protected]
  4. Overview of Materials, Minerals and Mining for People, Place and Planet (M3P3) event.
  5. Report of the appointment of officers.
  6. Re-appointment of HaysMac LLP as an auditor to IOM3.
  7. Any other business

Notes:

  1. 1. All members of IOM3 may attend the Annual General Meeting.
  2. 2. Corporate members (Honorary Fellows, Fellows, Members, Associate Members and Technician Members) may vote on all matters.
  3. IOM3 Regulations for Conduct of General Meetings state that members in arrears of subscription of more than 3 months shall not be entitled to vote.
  4. Members unable to attend and eligible to vote should do so by emailing their proxy vote to [email protected].
  5. 2024 Annual Report and Financial Statements are available to download at IOM3 | IOM3 Annual Reports
  6. To attend the AGM, please register in advance, using booking form on the right.

Bye-Law 43

The Annual General Meeting shall be for the purpose of transacting the following business:

a. Receiving and considering the report of the Executive Board on the activities of the Institute;

b. Receiving and considering the accounts of the Institute;

c. Receiving the report of the appointment of Officer and election of members of the Executive Board and Advisory Council;

d. Appointing the Auditors; and

e. Any other business.
