This course aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles can be integrated across various stages of the mining value chain. Participants will learn how to identify ESG and sustainability threats and opportunities, implement sustainable practices, and report on ESG performance effectively.
After this course you will be able to:
- Define ESG and sustainability, and their importance in today’s business landscape
- Identify key threats and opportunities at each stage of the value chain
- Develop Strategies for integrated ESG into the mining lifecycle, including procurement, development and operations
- Explain the importance of stakeholder engagement and shared value
- Assess governance frameworks for ESG oversight and reporting
- Apply ESG reporting standards and framesworks effectively
The course is aimed at sustainability and ESG professionals, risk managers and compliance officers, procurement and supply chain managers, business leaders, strategists and consultants working with ESG initiatives, and investors and financial analysts. Prior knowledge is not necessary as all concepts will be clearly introduced.
