Natural Resources

Sustainable development requires that resources are used as carefully and optimally as possible to maintain an adequate resource-base for future generations. Taking nature and biodiversity into account is key in modern project planning.

We are looking for projects of any size with nature-based design for a healthier and more sustainable future, or which support biodiversity as we advance towards the UN SDG's. Examples could include site remediation, habitat creation, pollutant reduction, use of natural materials.

Eligible projects must have been carried out between October 2021 and October 2022.

Judging criteria

The judges will be looking for:

  • A contribution to sustainable use of natural materials or protection of biodiversity
  • Long-term perspective and continuity
  • Creativity and originality
  • Measurable results such as in terms of improvements to biodiversity or human health/wellness.

  • Early bird entry deadline: Friday 28 April 2023
  • Final deadline for entries: Friday 2 June 2023 
  • Finalists announced: July 2023 
  • Awards Ceremony: Friday 20 October 2023 at Museum of London Docklands
