Strange Clay: Ceramics in Contemporary Art is the first large-scale group exhibition in the UK to explore how contemporary artists have used clay in unexpected ways.

With 23 international artists across recent decades, the exhibition examines the plasticity and possibilities of ceramics.

The gallery says that the artworks encompass fantastical creatures and uncanny representations of the everyday, ranging from small abstract works to large-scale installations.

Strange Clay explores the possibilites of thinking through making.
