Defence Materials 2050: Critical Materials, Security of Supply, Decommissioning, Reuse and Recycling
As part of the IOM3 Defence Materials 2050 seminar series, Lucideon is hosting the 3rd seminar and workshop on 'Critical Materials, Security of Supply, Decommissioning, Reuse and Recycling'. The meeting is to be held on 17 November 2026 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
The Defence Materials 2050: Critical Materials, Security of Supply, Decommissioning, Reuse and Recycling event will convene leading scientists, innovators, defence stakeholders, and industry partners to shape a strategic vision for the next generation of extreme‑performance materials.
Call for Abstracts
As the third event in the DM2050 series, We invite the submission of technical abstracts for an upcoming event exploring the parallel themes of critical materials and material supply along with decommissioning, reuse and recycling for defence materials in 2050. This event will bring together researchers, technologists, and industry leaders to examine how advanced material supply will impact systems and capabilities for 2050 and how supply chain management, re-use and re or upcycling can help to mitigate availability or over reliance. The event aims to showcase cutting-edge developments, novel approaches, scalable supply or manufacturing solutions, and interdisciplinary approaches that address current supply challenges and future opportunities in materials science and engineering. Abstracts that demonstrate novel technologies, as well as real-world implementation and future focused concepts, are especially encouraged.
