Scottish Training Success

Specialist Scottish trainer and assessor in Wood Science and Technology, ATT, has recently announced success for five candidates in the PIABC Scottish Vocational Qualification for Wood Products Manufacturing at SCQF Level 5.  This forms part of the Scottish Modern Apprenticeship in Wood and Timber Industries.

The candidates are employees of Thornbridge Sawmills Ltd, and all work in the joinery department, manufacturing doorsets including sawn wood production (utilizing crosscut saw, mitre saw and circular rip saw) and planed wood production on a planer thicknesser.

The 5 successful candidates, pictured at the Kelpies, are from left to right, Ryan Burnett, Dylan Bain, Stephen Tracey, Andrew Gibson (ATT), Andrew Edmond, Jack Robertson, with their Scottish Vocational Qualification Certificates presented by WTS Board Member Andrew Gibson MIMMM.

The five candidates, who work near the Kelpies, achieved this significant qualification in slightly less than 2 years.
