29 Apr 2007

This was a very successful meeting, held in London in April 2007, attracting a total of 33 delegates from a wide range of UK manufacturers and utilities.

The workshop included invited presentations from key speakers related to the power industry. The
aim was to bring together engineers and scientists from the whole
spectrum of power generation systems, e.g. coal, gas and nuclear energy
sources.

Presentations covered water chemistry, design
aspects and corrosion of specific materials including carbon steels,
low alloy steels and stainless steel, and specific types of corrosion
failure (localised corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and corrosion
fatigue).
