    Adhering without adhesives

  • Adhesion '19 call for papers: deadline extended

    Following the success of the Adhesion conferences, held on a triennial basis since 1980, the 14th in the series of international conferences, Adhesion ’19 will take place in Bristol with the call for papers deadline extended until 31 January 2019.

    Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. Our offices will close for the Christmas break at 5pm on Friday 21 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 2 January 2019.
  • Technology Communities Board invites nominations

    The IOM3 Managing Board recently approved the restructure of the Industry & Technology Policy Board by creating a new Technical Communities Board (TCB). Nominations are now being sought for the role of Strategic Advisors on the TCB. This voluntary role is open to any member of the Institute. Members can request a full prospectus which sets out the ethos behind the change and includes both the job description and Terms of Reference.

    Looking back over 21 immensely enjoyable years as Chief Executive at IOM3, it is hard to single out one aspect or achievement within the job that has given me the most pleasure. Some of the activities and brands above have been a part of the Institute’s development under my watch.
