    The IOM3 publishing partner, Taylor & Francis (T&F) announced on 8 April 2020 that they have decided to stop printing journals from 10 April until further notice.

  • Ferrous Metallurgy Symposium goes from strength to strength

    On Tuesday 25 February, Armourers Hall, London, played host to the 3rd Annual Postgraduate Research Symposium on Ferrous Metallurgy. The event organised by the Materials Processing Institute in collaboration with the Armourers and Brasiers’ Company and the IOM3 Iron and Steel Society provides the perfect opportunity for postgraduate students from industry and academia to showcase their research.

  • IOM3 Guidance for Running or Participating in Virtual Meetings

    Audio or video virtual meetings are effective ways of enabling geographically distant individuals or sites to interact successfully. They reduce the time lost to individuals in travel as well as helping the Institute reduce its costs and its environmental impact.
  • IOM3 update on COVID-19

    The Prime Minister unveiled strict measures on 23 March 2020 to help tackle the spread of COVID-19 stating that, ‘people should leave home only to exercise once a day, travel to and from work where "absolutely necessary", shop for essential items and to fulfil any medical or care needs.
