Ken Barraclough Memorial Lecture and Members' Dinner
The 2019 Ken Barraclough Memorial Lecture will be held on Tuesday 12th March, when Professor Steve Further will present: The Call to ARMs.
From 1980 to 1990 he worked in the hardware development group within the R&D department at Acorn Computers Ltd, and was a principal designer of the BBC Microcomputer and the ARM 32-bit RISC microprocessor. The ARM has become the world’s leading low power embedded processor, with over 20 billion shipped to date.
At Manchester University, Steve leads the Advanced Processor Technologies Group with interests in low-power and asynchronous digital systems, multicore architectures and software, and neural systems engineering.
Immediately following the lecture, at approximately 7.30, will be the MEMBERS' DINNER. The menu is similar to recent years and again represents excellent value at £22, including three course dinner plus coffee, with table wine. Members are limited to one dinner guest.
