IOM3 exhibits at Packaging Innovations

IOM3 were among exhibitors and supporters of this year’s Packaging Innovations & Luxury Packaging London 2021.

The Packaging Consultancy Clinic returned for another year where delegates were able to get one-to-one advice from our IOM3 Packaging Society clinicians across the two days.

Day one kicked off with Judith Allan MIMMM, Chair of IOM3 Packaging Society, who sat on a panel talk to represent IOM3 at the ‘£10 billion debate: exploring the impacts of Extended Producer Responsibility, the Deposit Return Scheme, the plastic tax and more.’ The panel discussion highlighted what needs to change for manufacturers and the whole supply chain to work together to implement the Government’s new EPR rules in 2022 to reduce the impact of packaging waste on the environment.

Delegates dropped by throughout the day to catch one of our experts, whether it was a pharmaceutical packaging enquiry or how to package more sustainably or just general networking opportunities within IOM3 – there was no shortage of visitors.

Jude also gave a talk on day two focused on ‘E-commerce packaging in a post COVID world.’ In her talk, Jude reviewed the recent changes across the e-commerce sector and discusses the impact on packaging development and design that have come about as a result.
